The lecture covers wide areas ranging from basics to applications of nanometer-scale electron devices such as miniaturized transistors and various kinds of quantum effect devices, and also touches fabrication methods of nanostructural materials and overlap area between electron and optical devices. Deeper understanding about the quantum well physics, operation mechanisms of the quantum-well-based optoelectronic devices and method of fabricating the devices is expected to be attained.
